The energy that powers the planet comes from the sun.
All the food we eat, be it fish, fowl, meat or vegetable came originally from green plants. The plants are green from chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the substance that traps the energy from the sun allowing the leaves to produce food. The energy that you are using to read this page came from the sun through green plants.
Also, the energy that powers what we drive, the electricity that we use, the heating and cooling all comes from stored energy from the sun in the form of fossil fuels such as gasoline, diesel, and coal.
It is nature that is the support, protector and provider of this elaborate web that mankind has woven from mother earth.
We should remember to be nice to our mother.
